Keynotes and Talks

I believe speakers are only as good as the discussions they inspire. My goal is to present ideas and values in a way that prompts dialogue. We grow best when we engage with each other. These are a few of the topics I share on most often:

Holistic Self-Care

Often when we hear the phrase “self-care” we believe it means “selfish indulgence." But in truth, self-care is more about our everyday rhythms and is grounded in Biblical wisdom. When we see ourselves as God sees us and value ourselves as God does, it is a natural outcome of that perspective to care for ourselves as God designed us, with gifts, passions, limits and needs.

Theology of Suffering

God’s original design in creation did not include pain, but He knows full well that we suffer pain and Jesus addressed it head-on. How can we shift to see our pain like God sees it, receive the grace and comfort God longs to give us and wait expectantly for God’s redemption of our pain.

Mental Health for Ministry Leaders

Do you feel ill-equipped to identify and address mental health challenges that exist in our ministries and leadership teams. In this broad primer of the most commonly occurring mental health disorders, you will receive an understanding of signs and symptoms to be aware of, and be guided towards basic resources to find the professional help that is needed.

Biblical Wisdom for Our Emotional Lives

How many sermons have you heard that speak highly of human emotion? More often than not, I have heard it taught that emotions are fleeting, and unreliable, and best ignored in favor of “God’s wisdom.” But I see God directing people to His will through their emotions. When we ignore our emotions, we stunt not only our emotional growth, but our spiritual growth as well.
